About

The Evil TeddyBear Podcast is a movie review and interview show hosted by Korey Epps and Michael Capps. You may know Michael from Atlanta-based band Surrogates while Korey is also the guy behind the shows Mongoloids, Chasing Greedo and Evil Ted on WHO. Korey had been listening to and enjoying podcasts for years before finally taking the plunge and starting this, his first major creative project. The pioneering work of Kevin Smith and Chris Hardwick have provided constant inspiration as well as his long-time passion, movies.

The Illustrious History of the Show

The show got its start back in August of 2011. It took several drinks for Korey to convince his friend Thomas Fine to join him on his podcasting journey. Their first show, Korey and Tom Vs. Evil, centered around the movie Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and they went from there. The show was originally posted on Bandcamp.com, but has since moved over to iTunes where you can find it today.

As Tom became busier with his own pursuits, the show evolved into an interview show as well. The first Evil TeddyBear Podcast guest was Tyler Jones and the first official” interview was with writer and director Christopher Downie. Korey and Downie also worked together and created a companion podcast  - Chasing Greedo - about Downie’s film The Twelve Steps of Jason Mewes: Get Greedo.

Thomas has since gone off on other adventures and Michael works hard to fill his shoes. The Evil TeddyBear podcast is going strong and bringing listeners unscripted commentary and introducing them to cool people.
